Out is out – Cape Verde is far away
We have cast the lines and out is out. There is no way back, or is there, no, there is not.
Hey Sailors!
Last time, we cast the lines in Gran Canaria to start our big voyage across the ocean. And this time, we continue our journey to Cape Verde. We are out at sea, days from land. Winds get stronger and seas bigger. Life is getting tougher every day. When Levi's eye infection seems to get worse and I stay seasick we have to make a decision: do we keep going or turn around?
We knew it was a mental challenge but it is also a very physical one. Resilience... Realisation that there is no other way than forward... one or the other made us push further.
